Still can't believe I ran three miles, a mere 9 days after knee surgery. This is something to get excited about. Although, I'm afraid I might regret it. After leaving the B2B pre-race logistic meeting I felt multiple aches and pains from my hips down. Glad to report, nothing new. For whatever that's worth!

First time in a very long time since I met up with the Striders for a Wednesday run. A couple new faces and one with baby on board, but otherwise it was like I never slacked off. I ran alone on the Memorial Park loop, while the others did a counter clockwise Shepard Hill run. I stopped at all the water fountains, yet managed to keep the walking to less than a quarter mile total.

Good day on the exercise front. That is probably good, cause I'm starting to worry about the "dress" part of the wager. I gotta win!

Bill,

Great seeing you last night! I was wondering if I could still take you up on your Garmin offer?

Drive safely today and let CC know that the Strider nation is coming!!

3 MILES?!?!?!? Awesome. You ran longer than I did last night.

Sounds like your pains may be normal, getting-back-in-the-running-groove pains. I had a few of those around the ankle when I "started back."

Have a safe trip this weekend. Is the fam going with you or are you flying solo? Hey, while you're in Corpus, you should go out for Mexican food.

Be safe Miss Bill.

Great job on the run! I see the trash talking is starting already. This is going to be fun to watch! :-)

Willie,

Your run is reminiscent of Joan Benoit who won the marathon trials 17 days after surgery back in 1984.

So, good going! And, thanks in advance for being part of the shuttle corps this weekend.
