Bill,

Sounds like you have had a hard week. I admire you for getting back on track with your diet. I too have fallen off the healthy-eating diet wagon. I'm looking forward to 2007 and wish you nothing but blue skies...

Bill,

Before I became a "runner", my days looked a lot like what you just posted. What a great lifestyle...such variety, and it will keep you on track for your weight loss goals! A very fit buddy of mine in college got a shin injury and instead of maintaining a healthy lifestyle like you are, he gained 80 pounds and now, 10 years later, I barely recognize him. So, way to be man - your attitude and perserverance is pretty special!

ps - I get worried about your lower body weight training...I am not sure your calfs can get any bigger!!! :)

Being a runner is a state of mind more than a body in motion. You act like a runner, you think like a runner and most of your day is spent planning, thinking and reading about running. You should take pride in the fact that you busted your knee to the point of surgery because you were running. I know plenty of folks that go under the knife because of their diet while participating in fantasy football leagues and their lack of activity. Get that knee fixed and come back stronger and remember that the Houston Marathon and Rocky Raccoon are run every year.

I know none of this is going to make you feel better or fix your knee but I did want to let you know that in the running community, when a runner goes down, we all feel the pain.

That's the beauty of blogs -- you can write about whatever you want. You can write about running even if you're not getting to do it right now. :( Hang in there Bill!

i agree with dirt runner; we ALL feel it when someone we care about cant do what THEY care about.

you'll see this will all be over with in no time flat!

You have PLENTY to say and I'm ALWAYS interested! So keep those thoughts and feelings coming = ))

And unlike, Steeeve, I DO care about what you had for dinner! hahahahahaha
