Today was the first speed workout since June 18th. Everything went well, considering the humidity & hot weather. Not too many people on the Humble Park trails, so I had the place to myself. I did a two-mile warm up, 6 x 30/30 @ 1-mile race pace (effort), followed by a 2-mile cool down.

Two-mile warm up: 10:47 and 10:30
6 x 30/30 at 1-mile race pace:
Covered 0.69 miles in 5:36 (8:09 avg. pace for run and recovery)

Thanks for the red/blue garmin clarification.
I got a little too excited in the selection...but I definitely don't need the heart rate monitor. My 201 is driving me nuts right now!
